Room Six is Coming
Nearly two years on and Black Asterisk is expanding. Having five dynamic, individual spaces is no longer enough to show off our bourgeoning selection of art. So, we’re creating a new space, a display area directly on view to the bustle of Ponsonby Road. And, inspired by simple mathematical calculations, we’re naming it Room Six.
As a separate street-front space it’s presented as an area distinct from the main gallery, giving the works on show a space to breathe. The screened off space allows us to single out key pieces, small bodies of work or installations independent from those in the main gallery.
A sculpture by Catherine Ellis will be christening the space from October 10th as part of Art Week, with a steady run of artwork set to inhabit Room Six from then on.
